Hope Taylor Workshop Day One | Romantic Blush Wedding

I cannot stress enough the importance of investing into education. Growth + learning is something that you can never get enough of! Two weeks ago, I attended the Hope Taylor Workshop – this is something that has been on my bucket list for quite some time. So finally I took the plunge + registered a few months ago when she announced she’d be hosting one in May. Hope is a photographer that I have always admired + was SO excited to learn from!

The Meet & Greet

On Sunday, myself + two fellow photographer friends arrived in Fredericksburg where we checked into the hotel where we’d be staying for the next two days. We all got settled and made our way down the street to Hope’s studio.

We were greeted at the door with a warm smile + big hug by Hope! She is everything she portrays herself to be – bubbly, full of energy + incredibly sweet!

The meet + greet consisted of getting to know everyone, eating the most delicious homemade desserts by Momma Taylor + playing heads up!! Then back to the hotel we headed to get rested for a full day of education + fun.

Day One

All 16 attendees arrived at the studio, we were surprised with a bag full of goodies from the most gracious vendors! We spent the morning discussing everything from client experience to photographing a wedding day!

Swag Bag Vendors:

TWILA & CO. | VICI DOLLS | TONIC SITE SHOP | CHALK FULL OF LOVE | LADYBURG |

MONKEE’S OF FREDERICKSBURG | HONEYBOOK

After lunch we headed over to the beautiful The Riddick House at Stevenson Ridge for the styled shoot portion of the day. It was a gloomy day + even calling for rain but somehow right as the time approached the rain completely cleared from the radar! YAY!

The vendors did an incredible job putting together everything – I was blown away!! The stunning floral wall + tablescape, detailed stationary items, beautiful cake station, the prettiest china I’ve ever seen + best of all our models!! Katie is former Miss Virginia + her husband, Paul was a model for Abercrombie – AHH! They were complete naturals in front of the camera, they flowed through the poses so effortlessly! I could’ve taken pictures of them ALL DAY!

We wrapped up day one back at the studio; all gushing over the beauty we just got to capture, eating more of Momma Taylor’s delicious food along with some Q + A with Hope!

Enjoy some of my favorite images below, be sure to stayed tuned for a Day Two Recap on the blog soon!

Thank you again to all the vendors that made the amazing styled shoot possible!! 🙂
