Wedding Day Details | Checklist

It’s all in the details…

As a bride you have spent months on end planning, preparing and dreaming about your most special day! When the day finally comes, all the wedding day details start falling into place and the last thing anyone wants is to forget something.   More than anything brides want their wedding day imagery to be unique, special, memorable and reflect all of the hard work they’ve put into making their wedding day the most perfect reflection of them and their soon to be husband.

Equipping my bride’s to remember the details…

Once your big day arrives, there there is SO much to do and to remember and it can be very overwhelming. But one lovely part of my job is that I get to prepare brides to remember important wedding day details long before their wedding day arrives. By creating timelines, questionnaires and checklist, my brides will be more than equipped come their wedding day to remember which details to bring.

Detail shots are some of my favorite images to capture.  These images showcase the bride’s dress, jewelry, invitation suite, rings, perfume and other special heirloom items.  Wedding Day detail shots are most usually photographed in the Bridal Suite as the Bride and her bridesmaids prepare to get ready.  These images beautifully display the delicate wedding day details that a bride has pieced together to make her wedding day uniquely hers.

Below I will be sharing a list has all of the necessary wedding day details that I need as soon as I arrive to the bride. Having these special wedding day details captured are so important in telling the visual story of your wedding day!

Checklist:

  • Bridal Gown
  • Viel
  • Shoes
  • Garter
  • Jewelry
  • Perfume
  • All 3 rings
  • Invitation Suite
  • Bouquets
  • Boutonnieres
  • Bridesmaids Dresses

While these are amongst the most popular items to include, I also recommend considering the following to really make your details pop!

• Dress Hanger: Most wedding dresses come on a plastic hanger that is anywhere from elegant. Make sure you’re prepared with a nice wood, velvet or personalized hanger to ensure your wedding dress photos are worth sharing.

• Box or Carrier for the Rings: I can see where this item gets forgotten but how else will you capture the rings side by side or have the ring bearer bring them down to the alter? It’s an important piece that plays into the entire wedding ceremony.

• Keepsakes or Heirlooms: Whether you have a ring from your grandmother or a broach or pin for your bouquet, make sure those items are with your other gathered details. The story behind these are worth so much and I love hearing about them!

Tailor this list to your wedding day and I promise it’ll help minimize chaos! A stress-free bride is a happy bride!!
